Edgar, Judith Ann (Judy) (nee Barr) – peacefully, on 24 Dec 2023 at Metlifecare Karori Village, Wellington, aged 82 years.
Dearly loved wife of David (dec).
Treasured mother, mother-in-law and Nana of Richard, Tanya, Hannah and Niamh, and James, Nadine, and Elias.
Loved sister of Helen (dec) and Mary.
Much loved aunt to all her many nephews and nieces and loved by her wider family.
A cherished friend and a well-loved teacher for many years.
Special thanks to the staff of Metlifecare Karori Village who cared for Judy.
A service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held in St Mary’s Anglican Church, 176 Karori Road, Karori, Wellington on Tuesday 9th January at 11am followed by burial in The Greytown Cemetery, State Highway 2, at 2.30pm.
In Lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer’s New Zealand which can be made through their web site or left at the service, would be appreciated.

Those we love must someday pass, beyond our present sight…
must leave us and the world we know without their radiant light,

She was always someone I looked up to – a very smart dresser and an awesome conversationalist!
