Dittmer, Garry Wayne, suddenly on 1 October 2026, aged 68.
Loved son and son-in-law of Fay Dittmer, Bill and Ann Dittmer, and Jenny and Jim Adamson.
Much loved husband of Sarah, and amazing father and father-in-law of Gina and Matthew Conder, and Tim Dittmer and Amy Hall.
Exceptional playmate and Grandad of Louis, Kate, Gemma, James, and Isabelle.
Brother and brother-in-law of David and Nicki, Rebecca and Jim, Stephen, and Anton.
A celebration of Garry’s life will be held in the Kiwi Hall, Birdwood Street, Featherston on Friday 9th October at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wellington Free Ambulance
Dear Sarah and family,
We were deeply saddened to hear of Garry’s sudden passing. He was such a character and a true battler of the Featherston community. One of the things we always respected most about Garry was his non-negotiable integrity—when he truly believed in something, he stood his ground firmly and never backed down.
We always valued those hardware store chats we all used to have together back then.
Sending you all our love and deepest condolences during this incredibly difficult time. He will be greatly missed
