  1. Dear Brown whanau, Stephen and myself will be with you from afar as we celebrate Michael’s life. We have especially been remembering his role in our life as he baptized Stephen, married us and was Stephen’s presenting clergy person at his ordinations.
Much aroha to you all as you farewell a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

  2. Dear Anne, Michael and Elizabeth. What a fitting goodbye from his Cathedral. It was good to hear the pair of you relating the journey Michael took you on and it brought back many lovely memories of the Brady/Brown antics. At this end of life I count my blessings received from the wonderful folk I have known. Much love to you all. Lorraine.

    1. As someone who was not able to attend the service at the Wellington Cathedral I would like to take the opportunity to add a note of condolence and respect for Michael who was an outstanding member of the Rotary Club of Wellington in the mid-1990s when I joined, and of which he was President in the early 2000’s. He was an exemplar of Club membership and more widely participation in the civic and social life of the city in which he lived. The best that can be said is that when he left for Christchurch his departure was really felt by many. I hope that this message along with others will provide his family with a small amount of solace at a vital time.

  3. Dear Brown family. Our condolences on the passing of your beloved husband, father and grandfather. Myself (Annie Vorster) and my husband (Auret Vorster) were close friends with Michael (jr) whom we have not seen since we left New Zealand in 2003. Please relay this message to him as we would love to be in touch again. Warm regards, Annie and Auret Vorster
