  1. Dear Karen and family.

I am sorry to hear of Colin’s passing. He was an asset to the community as a driving instructor, he was just so great at it! I had heard he had been unwell for a bit, and I will admit, I shed a tear when I read of his passing. My thoughts are with you Karen, and the family that he absolutely adored.
In 2009 I met Colin enquiring about the Truck course he was running at AMS. The 3 months I spent at course were the best. Will never forget the look on his face and the tears in his eyes, when as a class, we presented the gifts, as a token of our appreciation for putting up with all our crap!

I will never forget the day I called in to visit on dads scooter and Colin asking ” can i take it for a spin?” He took off like a bat outa hell and almost wiped out on the semi trailer . After about 10mins of him being MIA he finally returned, much to the relief of Karen and I…thinking he had stacked it, only to find out he stopped and said hi to a few people round Hargreaves Yard, showing off the scooter! He informed me he had his bike licence, but had not had much experience riding one, or a 50cc scooter for that matter…its a peppy wee thing!

Another laugh was telling me about the welts and bruises from our course afterparty where we went to PaintBall…..and next minute the pants drop and all he could say was “check these out!”.

Colin was so proud of me the first day I stopped to pick up the WheelyBin. I saw this familair face down the driveway and gave him a toot. The look on his face was priceless. I would enjoy the odd catch up out the window .

Colin was a beatuiful soul, a top bloke, and he will be deeply missed by a lot of people in the Wairarapa.
Thanks for everything you taught me, the laughs and the tears!
A true Masterton legend in my books. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

All my love , Samantha (Sam) Sayer
