We send our deepest condolences to you Robin, Craig, Catherine, Andrina, Stewart, Andrew, Kathy and your extended families on the passing loss of Mary.
She was such a loving, kind, generous and cheeky soul, with a great sense of humour, who provided us with everlasting memories of her, which we will always cherish.
We are thinking of you all on this day.
Much Love Charlie and Heather
A letter to Gran
Thank you for being my super gran.
For the apple pancakes with lemon and sugar.
The constant supply of pikelets topped with raspberry jam and cream.
Thanks for the banana cakes and tan squares,
Anzac biscuits and afghans to name a few.
I wish I was more of a marmalade lover because I sure yours was the best…
Thanks for telling me to walk with my feet out, to stand up straight, to tuck my shirt in or pull me pants up.
Thanks for letting me win occasionally at checkers… but sometimes you just have to lose and not everything can go your way… and I know that caused a tantrum or two…
Thanks for keeping me warm every winter with your homespun blankets and clothing.
Thanks for the $20 every now and then, whether given as a secret or a reward it always helped.
Thanks for teaching me to drive. Even though a week later I ran over mums bike..’. almost taking out the whole garage in the process.
I will always remember and cherish the times I spent with you most days after school.
At Essex St and on adventures during the weekends..
I loved that house right down to the prickles in the grass, every summer you’d run out bare foot and forget that the grass was more lethal then lava.
I learned to ride a bike down that drive way.
Picking plums off the tree after getting the mail, or even just Smokey the cat… the softest cat in town… that house is where my memory of you is strongest. And all these things are gifts of joy I now get to share with Nova.
